Jason Garrison

Jason Garrison is fairly new the world of hockey.  He was born on October 1, 1983 and grew up on Harrison, Ohio where he played football (his first and only true love), basketball, and baseball.  He’s a die hard Bengals fan and loves University of Cincinnati and Ohio State football.  He stayed in Harrison until he joined the military and left the mid-west.  Over the next four years he would travel the country and globe, eventually ending up in Buffalo, New York.  Here, he met Jeremy White, the cohost of the Howard Simon Show on WGR 550, Buffalo’s sports radio channel.  Jeremy introduced Jason the world of sports broadcasting and hockey and it wasn’t long before he fell in love with the Buffalo Sabres.

After he left the military, Jason returned home to attend the University of Cincinnati.  Originally a business major, Jason quickly met Brandon Kisker who shared Jason’s love for the Sabres.  Brandon asked Jason to come with him one Wednesday night to The 5 Minute Major and after two hours in the studio, Jason was hooked.  He eventually changed his major to journalism and is currently pursuing a career in sports broadcasting.

Jason co-hosts 5 Minute Major with Brandon and Scott and also hosts Gridiron Gurus, a football show, on bearcastradio.com.   Jason also is a regular contributor for two websites:  WhoDeyFans.com and Cincifan.com under the name Under Argo.  He continues to learn the game of hockey and looks forward to dominating Brandon and Scott in his first ever attempt at playing fantasy hockey.  They don’t call him Garistotle for nothing.  You can find Jason in front of a TV when Sports Center is on or, if it’s between the months of September and January, tail gaiting in the shadow of Nippert or Paul Brown Stadium
